17/02 – 17/03
Inspired by Caffeinated Reviewer’s Sunday Post today, I have also decided to give Gutenberg a go… I’ll have to adjust one day so probably better to learn now before WordPress switches for good. I have found the social media sharing button at least though, which was the one thing that put me off using it before. I also had a problem with getting my pictures to centre before as well, so we will see what happens with that too.
In other news, it’s been a really busy month for me so far. I have been busy with rehearsals for my show, we only have a couple of months to go now, and I have made great progress with my WIP, I am nearly at 30,000 words now.

P.S | Yes, there is still a problem with centre alignment on Gutenberg. Hopefully WordPress can sort this out soon because I actually found the other components of the editor gave me a lot of freedom with my post.
I’m still trying to figure out how to post on my iPad, I can’t deal with a whole other editor too just yet!
Have a great reading week and please stop by

I have a bit of a love/hate thing going on with Gutenberg. I guess we all have to figure out how to live with it, though.

I’m one of the moderators for The Classics Club, so we will be using Gutenberg soon there. I need to learn how to use it. I hope the other moderators are familiar with it.
I’ve taken the helm of one of our earliest book blogging memes, The Sunday Salon. I’d love to have you stop by my blog, Readerbuzz, and post a link to your blog. The Sunday Salon was created twelve years ago to encourage book conversations, and I hope to do the same by sharing links and visiting others’ blogs.

No problem! I enjoyed your post, as I have heard a lot about you but wasn’t sure if I would be able to cope with the creepiness haha!

It’s worth the watch, out of everything I watched the past 2 or so months it’s by far my favourite! It’s definitely creepy and thrilling but so long as you watch it with someone it shouldn’t be too bad 😀

I love trying new things and hence I jump into things straight in. I started using Gutenberg editor maybe 2 days after it released. It took me a bit to get used to it, but I found that I really like it. Other than options to edit for multiple paragraphs together, it’s pretty good. You can opt for HTML editor within every block if you use HTML a lot, but my HTML usage has gone down because it takes two extra steps to switch to HTML, and I can only edit one block at a time.
I really like the options it gives for blocks because now I realize how much more features exist that I can use. I’m sure you’ll get used to it soon 🙂

I do really like the new features that it has, such as the image/text split block and the fact that you can directly add spotify and videos. Still struggling with the centre alignment on pictures though but hopefully they sort that soon. Glad you are finding it a good way of blogging though and that’s cool that you use HTML a lot, I’m not sure what i’m doing there so use the visual editor haha
